Missing
Knives… they were all there in their assigned spot along the wall. So, why did something seem to be missing?
Taki slowly turned, her eyes taking in every minute detail of the kitchen. Something was missing… she was sure of it. But, what?
Behind her, she heard the door creak.
‘I thought you might need these.’ Elan held out two cylindrical items.
Taki smiled. Eggs. Of course, that was the missing ingredient. She sighed with relief. She wanted this first meal in their new home to be perfect.

Author’s Note: It’s been a quiet week. Haven’t felt so well so slept most of the week away. Such is my life these days… sigh… I did get out once to walk up to the bowling alley and actually venture inside. It was pretty nice for what it was. Smelled pretty good considering they sold liquor which was cheaper than soda. Grr…. At $3.80 for an 8oz. cup half filled with ice and little soda, it just wasn’t worth it. So, we left, walked to the gas station next door, got a coupla 2liters for $2.00 and headed back home.
We celebrated our 29th anniversary with that, and making our once a year online order for a gift for each other. Hubby got himself some tools that he said he needed for work. I got myself this tiny pallete for painting. Y’all know my fascination with all things in miniature. A wee bit bigger than what I expected, but still rather small. Folded, it fits in the palm of my hand, or pocket. So, it came, and I populated with watercolors and gave it a go… only to realize that my wee sketcher is NOT friendly to watercolors, but it was still fun.
